Robert's Diamond Showcase has been serving the Hanford and the surrounding areas since 1969. The store was opened by Robert (Bob) Van Gundy after 25 years as a watchmaker and jeweler, working for others. Before Bob enlisted in the Air Force to serve during WWII, he worked in a jewelry store in Salina, Kanasa from whence he hails. After the war, Bob returned to what he knew best - the jewelry industry.

Now, some 40 years later, he still works in the store he founded, and he has shaped it to represent his likeness: A friendly, sincere staff with a desire to serve and help all of those in the jewelry purchasing or repairing market.

His daughter Linda did not engage in the jewelry business as a young adult, and found her calling in the medical field as an x-ray technologist. However, about 20 years ago, she returned to the Valley where she was born, and began working with her dad in this field much more suited to her personality. If you know Linda, you know her famous laugh, and you can deduce that a jewelry store with so many happy occasions makes laughing a natural.

Adam Wimer is also a part of the Robert's family. He came to work for the Van Gundy's in 2007 and has grown into a superb jewelry professional. His lifelong love of precious gems gives him an insatible thirst for knowledge about all things jewelry, and he is absolutely one of the most trusted diamond profesionals you will ever find in any jewelry store. Through these last two years, Adam has evolved into someone you can talk to about anything, especially precious gems. He is the personification of what Robert's is all about: Professional, knowledgeable, and most of all a sincere, just wonderful person who makes purchasing an easy and exciting experience.
